I am a self-taught woodworker, DIYer and plant lover. I’ll thank COVID for the plant loving part. My DIY and woodworking journey started in Fall 2018 after I purchased my old 1880s home. I started with building furniture that I didn’t want to purchase from a store. From there, my building spiraled into creating custom projects for others. I now spend time building and also renovating my home.

It’s taken the last 3 years to learn what my style is. When I first moved into my home I felt like I should only own “old” furniture and antiques. But I’ve finally got it figured out -> modern/traditional a.k.a. transitional. I love mixing the natural traditional colonial elements in my home with modern design.

In addition to DIY, I am a wife and boy-mom to 2 boys. I also work full-time as a Nurse Practitioner. I’m not sure how I manage to keep up with it all, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My favorites. DIY addition:
- Favorite power tool : Toss up between miter or table saw. The table saw may have the edge because it’s so much more versatile
- Favorite hand tool : Hammer
- Favorite project to date: Entryway. Likely because it’s one that’s actually completed.
- Favorite type of build : Furniture
